My Wealthy Affiliate Review

I joined Wealthy Affiliate in June, 2007 thinking that I would only stay a month, gather the info I wanted and then leave. Well, it's now October and I still am a member because the Wealthy Affiliate community far surpassed every expectation that I had about it.

I now consider it a vital part of my internet marketing efforts and can't imagine getting by without the tools and resources they offer there. Let me give you a little background on myself and on how Wealthy Affiliate has helped me.

I started dabbling in affiliate marketing over a year before I joined Wealthy Affiliate. I bought all the crappy "get rich quick" ebooks (I'm a sucker for over-hyped marketing) and had blown a ton of money. Now, I did get something out of all those books I purchased. I went from losing money with affiliate marketing to being able to break exactly even. In fact, I began to refer to myself as a "master of breaking even". I would spend $20 on advertising and make a $20 sale. Somehow I don't think that was exactly getting rich.

By the time I found out about Wealthy Affiliate I was so gun-shy from having spent all my money on this other crap that I hesitated and didn't join right away. A few months went by and I kept noticing people on forums talking about how great it was, blah, blah, blah.

Finally, I got an email from a friend telling me more about Wealthy Affiliate and I decided to give it a shot. Like I said above, I figured I would join, grab all the info I could in a month and then cancel my membership. Heck, it was a lot cheaper than any of the ebooks I had bought up until that point.

Well, what happened actually surprised me. Once I paid and got access to the member's area one of the first things I did was open the forum to see what was going on there. I clicked on one of the first messages in the forum and literally read for about an hour.

From that single forum post I learned more about affiliate marketing than I had in the entire year that I had been wasting money on stupid ebooks that only gave me part of the picture. I immediately went and stopped all of my advertising because I knew that what I was doing wasn't working.

I started following the 6 week course (which has since been upgraded to an 8 week course) on internet marketing. Some of the stuff I knew already, but a ton of the stuff was new to me and made everything start to click in my head.

I had never posted on a forum before, but I forced myself to make a post introducing myself. Then, I started right in on one of the free marketing techniques that they teach, not expecting much from it. I guess I figured if I couldn't make money when I was paying for advertising there was no way I was going to make any without paying.

About a week and a half after that I made my first sale from that free technique and it was like a light bulb moment for me. I realized that I could make money without spending a dime and that this stuff really did work. That was the first true profit I had seen from affiliate marketing and it got me all kinds of excited. Granted it was just a $20 commission, but what really got me excited was that I could suddenly see the possibilities.

That was in the first week of July. It is now the middle of October. Last month I earned $1648.00 from my affiliate marketing efforts. This month I expect to clear $2000 before the end of the month. I have seen steady growth in my income each month that I have been a member, and I expect that my income will continue to grow.

All of the money I have made has been through free techniques that I learned at Wealthy Affiliate. To give you an idea of the potential, many of my fellow Wealthy Affiliate members earn $1000+ per day. I am just a newbie, but I plan to continue working until I join their ranks.

See, what I learned at Wealthy Affiliate is that once you know the techniques you just have to keep applying them, focus your efforts and actually work and you will start to make money. I also learned that you don't have to be an expert at everything. You just need to find one thing you are good at and stick with it.

I am a real person just like you. I work as an artist but unfortunately can't seem to sell my art to save my life. Wealthy Affiliate has provided me with the opportunity to make my art without having to stress about how I am going to pay my bills each month, which to me is the greatest gift of all.

I apologize for this being so long (assuming you are even still reading!) I just feel so strongly that if you really want to make legitimate money online there is no better way to do it than Wealthy Affiliate. I don't think anyone should have to stay at a job that they hate or head off to work and miss out on their children growing up if they don't want to.

Wealthy Affiliate can teach you the skills that you need and provide you with all the tools to live the life that you want. All you need to do is show up at your computer each day and apply yourself. This is not a get rich quick scheme and it does take work, but the reward is freedom to live your life the way you want.
